The DuSable Museum of African American History, the first institution of its kind in the country, is dedicated to the collection, preservation, interpretation and dissemination of the history and culture of Africans and African Americans. The museum has a collection of more than 15,000 pieces that include paintings, sculpture, print works and historical memorabilia.
