Renamed in honor of the late film critic Gene Siskel in 2000, the Film Center presents approximately 1,500 screenings and 100 guest artist appearances a year to over 65,000 film enthusiasts at its unique, sophisticated, and modern facilities. The Film Center highlights the work of a spectrum of different artists from students to award-winning directors and art forms from documentaries to drama.
Students are also eligible to receive a $5 discount on the purchase of a Gene Siskel Film Center membership and $8 tickets on regular film programming. Individual annual memberships are available for $60, and dual memberships are only $100. Film Center members enjoy deeply discounted admission to movies, free subscription to the Gazette (the Film Center’s monthly newsletter), access to member exclusive presale and film pass opportunities, $1 off of any size popcorn, and other special concessions discounts throughout the year.
