Located right next to the UChicago campus at 57th and Woodlawn, Hyde Park School of Dance welcomes students of all ages whether they are interested in dance as a career or for exercise and recreation. Described as a hidden gem and Chicago Reader's Best of Chicago, Best Dance Studio or Training Program in 2021 and 2022, this non-profit dance school offers classes for beginner and intermediate adult students in ballet, hip hop, modern, tap, Pilates, African dance, bellydance, and Steppin'. Advanced-level ballet classes are open to dancers 18 & up with Artistic Team permission.

Bellydance and Steppin' are HPSD Community Partner classes sold separately.

• All adult-eligible classes are offered on a drop-in basis for $22 per class (except for Adult/Teen Ballet Foundations, which is not drop-in eligible) or a short 6-to-9-week session.
