Music of the Baroque

Music of the Baroque’s professional chorus and orchestra is one of the leading ensembles in the country devoted to performing seventeenth- and eighteenth-century music. Since its founding in Hyde Park in 1970, MOB has brought the music of Bach, Handel, Mozart, and Haydn—as well as that of their contemporaries and modern-day successors—to magnificent venues across Chicago. MOB nurtures the next generation of musicians outside the concert hall through transformative educational programs and inspiring community events, including “Strong Voices,” our nationally recognized partnership with Chicago Public Schools.

  • Students may receive 2 complimentary tickets per valid ID to all Music of the Baroque concerts at the Harris Theater and Symphony Center. Tickets may be reserved online or obtained the night of the performance (subject to availability). Complete details, including how to reserve a block of seats for a larger group, are available at baroque.org/students.
