Located in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village, the Ukrainian National Museum of Chicago (UNM) was founded in 1952 as an archive of Ukrainian artifacts and as a showcase of Ukrainian history, culture, and art. Exhibits feature current artists as well as items from the museum’s archives, which include memorabilia chronicling Chicago’s Ukrainian community and the Ukrainian Holodomor of 1932-33, 1933 World’s Fair memorabilia, personal manuscripts of civic leaders, and an extensive photographic collection.
