As you begin to think about your Autumn Quarter programming, it is important to remember that any activity or event that can accomplish its goals remotely should continue to be held virtually. In-person meetings, events, and convenings on campus are strongly discouraged and should be proposed only where essential. User Guidelines and Protocols
Reservations
Your Uchicago ID will grant access to all practice rooms except the following: 029 Bass Practice Room, 034 Percussion Practice Room, 703 Ensemble Room, 803 Ensemble Room, and 4th Floor Rooms, which are reserved for Advanced Piano Students approved by Music Department.
To gain access to the Drum Practice Rooms 604 and 502, you MUST make a reservation through Logan Operations. Before your reservation begins, you will need to check in with our security team at the north desk and they will give you an access card that you must return at the end of your reservation.
If you would like to check Logan Center space availability, visit rooms.uchicago.edu - click on Calendars and select Scheduling Grid (make sure to choose Logan Center in the calendar drop down menu & filter).
While reservations are not required, if you wish to make a reservation for a specific time/room, please contact loganops@uchicago.edu and please allow 24-48 hours to receive a response.
User may reserve/use a Music Practice Room for up to two hours on any given day.
Room Access & Additional Notes
If a Practice Room is available and your Uchicago ID will grant you access, you may enter the room and use the room for up to two hours.
Practice Rooms are for musical practice only, please do not use them for studying, meetings, etc.
Please do not bring any food or drink into the Music Practice Room, including open water bottles.
Please do not place anything on top of pianos.
Please do not leave instruments or personal belongings unattended in a practice room.
