Alexander Hofmann, Professor in the Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences, will lead a discussion of the museum’s Picturing Chicago collection to explore questions like, “How can we use photographs of what some might consider banal to read extraordinary things about everyday life out of them? How can we use our affective responses as research tools? Where does that affective response come from—us, the historical circumstances, or the aesthetics?”
4:45PM – Bus Departs from the Logan Center
5:30PM – Print viewing
6:30PM – Walkthrough of the Dawit L. Petros' exhibit
7:30PM – Bus will depart the museum to arrive back at the Logan Center by 8pm.
